Ever have one of those days where you know you have to do something that you don’t really want to do and the stress builds and your stomach is in knots and you have a raging headache? That was today. We had our doctors appointment at San Diego Children’s Hospital to discuss the results of Macy’s bone scan. Jen and I didn’t talk much about how we were feeling, but by now we both know exactly what we’re feeling. And both of us were fearing and preparing ourselves for the worst news.
Well, after a really rough week, we got an answer that set our hearts and minds at peace. The doctor believes that Macy’s leg either never fully healed, or she re-fractured her tibia. So Macy got a new cast and will wear it for the next week and a half.
Jen and I both looked at each other and knew without saying that a TON of weight had been lifted off our shoulders. And I went, “whew”…
I don’t know how our faith was shown in this situation. We did our best, asked for tons of prayer, leaned on God, family, and friends for support, and he gave us great news. It almost felt like he gave us our daughter back, a reminder of the Bible story of Issac.
So, once again, thank you all again for your love, support, and prayers. We feel it, and now we are going to focus on YOU. How can we as a family pray for you over the next week?
