San Elijo | Cardiff by the Sea

One of my favorite places in the world has always been the beach. There’s just something freeing and majestic and romantic about the beach (did I just say that out loud?). From beaches near the bay area of NorCal, Santa Cruz & Capitola being my favorites, beaches in SoCal like Oceanside, Laguna, and Blacks, Dauphin Island in Alabama, beaches in Jamaica, Maui, Kauai, and of course Catalina. All my life I’ve been around beaches, and if I wasn’t, I made sure I got there regularly.

Jen and I have been going to the beach for at least 15 years now together as our hangout, our get-a-way. And so the tradition continues as our family grows. We spent the last few days in Cardiff by the Sea at San Elijo State beach. This was a great time to reconnect with them after I had been gone for the last week on the Tiger Cruise. We spent a lot of time walking, talking, eating at Pipes, hanging out on the beach, riding the bus into Encinitas, and sleeping. All I really have to say is that I love my family more than anything and am so blessed beyond what I could ever hope or dream.

Here’s some pictures from the trip:
