We just want to say a huge “Thank You” to everyone who has called, text messaged, emailed, commented, twittered, and/or prayed for us in the past couple weeks as we have been trying to get to the bottom of what is going on with little Macy’s leg/foot. We are so appreciative and feel so loved and supported.
We were not looking forward to taking Macy down to Children’s Hospital in San Diego and subjecting her to any more testing today. She’s been through a lot in the past week, month, and year. So it was a relief today when the technician was able to find her vein the first time (instead of 5 tries). And Macy was so good, she laid still, and was so brave during both scans.
We brought her in at 3pm for her first scan, when she got the injection. She only cried a little bit when she got pricked. Then she just laid there as a huge impending machine began scanning her. This scan only seemed to take about a half hour or so.
After dinner we headed back to the hospital for part 2.
And here’s what the whole day was about: a picture of what’s going on inside our little girl. The good news is that, we could definitely see that the left leg is way brighter than the right – meaning that whatever tracer solution injected into her has converged on this area, meaning that something is going on there. We think that this is good because it means that neither her nor us are crazy; there’s something going on. Unfortunately, we won’t have any answers till Thursday when we go back down and meet with the Doctor.
Oh yeah, Miles got to spend the day with his buddy Cameron Broe, along with the whole Broe clan & the Clacks (sup Heather, I know you read – you should comment more!). By the way, if you live anywhere near the Temecula Valley and need your vehicle serviced and are looking for someone who won’t rip you off and will give you honest information – you gotta use Jon Broe. I’ve been going to him for the past couple years and he’s always done an amazing job, saved me money, and been straight up. That’s hard to find today. Jon’s company is MAD REPAIR (Don’t Cuss, Call Us) 858-688-6993. Thanks Broes!
So, again, thank you for your prayers and concerns and all your encouragement. It’s pretty scary to say that we’ve got a healthy 2 year old who can’t walk, but we know that God is in control and he has a plan. We’re trying our best to trust him and be prepared for whatever comes. Keep little Macy in your prayers and we’ll keep you updated.
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20
