You can’t tell, but this is a poster that is up at the place where I get my vocal lessons. It says: “The object of teaching a child is to enable the child to get along without the teacher”. As I read that I immediately thought of this post I wrote. It seems so silly as leaders, how tightly we hold on to responsibilities, positions, the keys to the ministry as my buddy John Woolsey so eloquently put it. Read the “letting go” post if you haven’t.
