High School Musical, Ann Jackson, & Sulfahexaflouride Gas

This post is all about me.

I started blogging this year. I love it. I’ve made many new relationships, learned way more that I could ever learn at a conference or by taking a class, and been able to process a lot of thoughts and ideas. I was checking some stats today for the first time in a while, and I noticed that my best day ever was October 21st – I had 441 pageviews that day, mainly for my post about Ann Jackson, the author of the future book, MadChurch Disease. Thanks Ann for helping make this a great day for betterthanblank (70 of those visits were from Ann’s site, 40 of them were from Google Reader).

Another popular visit this year has been my post on Sulfahexaflouride Gas, from the Jay Leno show. Who could have guessed – but it is pretty cool when you first learn about it.

And recently I’ve been getting major hits from Google on my High School Musical post. This one mystifies me, but I’ve gotta say, all our friends who have daughters 4-11 are completely enamored by this phenom. Personally, I don’t get it, but hey “Saved by the Bell” was one of the most successful sitcoms ever. My wife, Jen, loves this show and sings the songs all around the house – me, not so much, but I do love the fact that Google has sent many googlers my way because of it.

So I write this in memorandum of 2007, of Ann Jackson, of Sulfahexaflouride Gas, and of course High School Musical. I’m looking forward to 2008 and all the interesting posts and hits and visits and traffic it will bring!
