My buddy Conner from good ol’ Louisiana hit me up to do this post.

  1. I’ve lived in California all my life. In northern Cal for the first half, and southern for the second half.
  2. I hate nuts. Except peanuts, I like those.
  3. I dated my wife for 7 years before we married. We’ve been married now for 8. I love her beyond words…
  4. My first car was a white Pontiac Sunbird.
  5. Since then I’ve had a Ford Explorer Sport, 68 VW Bug, Dodge Stratus (that’s right I drove a Stratus!), Ford Focus Wagon, Ford Ranger (current), Chevy Suburban, and a Suzuki XL7 (current).
  6. I’m what some consider ‘uneducated’. Graduated High School, spent a couple years a junior college, a couple years at Bible College. But no degree. Someday… for now I go to the school of hard knocks.
  7. I’m a first generation American (by birth). My Dad was born in Canada, as was his Dad. My Great Grandfather was from Scotland.
  8. I am an ENFJ.
  9. I use Photoshop for almost everything, it still won’t cook meals…
  10. In my short career I’ve been a: Paperboy, worked at McDonald’s, landscaper (with my dad’s business, then again for a friends business), Sandwich Artist (that’s what they call working at Subway), music store guy (I guess that’s a salesman), delivery guy for a sandwich shop, caterer, graphic designer, sign shop manager, sheet metal shop apprentice, commercial AC installer, snow board builder, framer, business owner, and pastor.
  11. I went to Christian school until high school. I hated it then, I value it now.
  12. I went through a period in my life where I was very angry at God and those around me.
  13. I’m a sucker for a long movie, and I always finish movies. This drives my wife crazy. For me when it comes to movies, the longer the better.
  14. I’m a budding soccer fan thanks to James.
  15. I used to surf almost every day. I haven’t gone out just to surf in 6 years (since Miles was born).
  16. This list took up way too much of my time to create.

There you have it. Vince, James, Chris, Peter, & James – you’re next.

Designer. Communicator. Solutions Architect. Husband. Father of 4. Friend of God. I've dabbled in building, graphic design, worship, music, media, communications, connections, leadership, and now I'm an executive pastor at Rancho Community Church in Southern California.

  6. yeah i’m with you i don’t like nuts, but i have started eating Almonds because i know they are good for me.

ha ha i remember the Sunbird, that thing got driven pretty rough.

degrees don’t equal success, knowledge does. i know plenty of people with degrees who are completely “uneducated”. i think you know a lot more than many of those with degrees.

Ah, yes, the Sunbird! Baaaad memories – and Subway? What fun! Alex, you are a true Renaissance man – old terminology but gimme a break – I’m old! I can’t think of anything you CAN’T do – a few you won’t do but you are definitely a talented guy. So when are you playing piano for worship – you can do it you know! LOVE YOU, SON!
